Impactful Women in Leadership
Throughout history, women have been at the political forefront of campaigns like the women’s suffrage movement and the civil rights movement. However, despite the many challenges, it was only recently that women took on a new dimension of political participation.
We have been seeing more women stepping into leadership positions ever since the late twentieth century, from both within their home countries and on a global scale. These women are fighting for the advancement of family-friendly legislation and paving the way forward on social issues (like education and health) as well as promoting children’s rights. Here we will explore some of the top global female politicians and their positive impact on their respective countries and communities.
