Discovering Women in Science

From Marie Curie, the first woman to receive a Nobel Prize in Physics in 1903 due to her discovery of radiation, to Dr. Ola Orekunrin, who created Flying Doctors Nigeria, the first ever air-operated emergency medical operation in West Africa, several life-saving improvements in science, medicine, and healthcare have been conceived, developed, and improved by women. Women are starting to be recognized for their contributions to science. Previously, most of these inventions and advancements have been attributed to their male counterparts and collaborators. These women are making groundbreaking discoveries, leading change, and are the pioneers in healthcare innovation and policies.
